For this project, I am developing a 360° VR narrative that explores workplace discrimination, anti-Black racism, and the impact of accent bias within professional environments. Through this experience, I hope to expand my storytelling practice into immersive media and explore how virtual reality can foster dialogue, understanding, and social change.

Iyore Edegbe is a Nigerian-Canadian filmmaker, writer, director, and producer based in Ottawa, Ontario, and the founder of Yellow Flower Films. Her work explores identity, migration, language, memory, and the lived experiences of Black communities through socially engaged storytelling. Her films have screened at festivals across Canada and internationally, including Cat Got Your Tongue, a CBC Gem documentary examining linguistic discrimination, and Diaspora, which explores the experiences of a Nigerian family in Canada. She has participated in programs with Ontario Creates, the Black Screen Office, and the JFMS BIPOC Sci-Fi Screenwriting Lab, where she continues to develop innovative narrative projects across film and immersive media.
